MAIIKO is a Mexican–Maltese DJ and producer built on energy, emotion, and groove.
MAIIKO’s sound was born from the late-night club scene, shaped by raw energy, Latin rhythm, and a constant push for movement. Heavy basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and emotional tension define the foundation of the project.

The project broke through with Closer to the Sun, a deep, rolling anthem that set the tone for MAIIKO’s darker and more cinematic sound. Releases like Higher and Paranoid pushed this identity forward, blending pressure, drive, and a relentless underground pulse.

As MAIIKO evolved, a melodic side began to surface. Let Me Down opened that door with a softer, vocal-driven approach, and Vertigo solidified it. Vertigo became MAIIKO’s second major melodic track, known for its bright chords, smooth topline, and uplifting atmosphere that showed the project can shift into lighter space without losing its emotional core.

Now, MAIIKO moves into a new chapter with an upcoming EP focused on rhythm-heavy Latin tech house. The sound is darker, sharper, and more refined, merging underground grit with cultural rhythm while keeping MAIIKO’s identity fully intact.
